Product Description

For those who want the finest long-lasting sharpness;

this is an excellent tool for finishing. Strops are required to keep your edge keen for daily use, they do not 'sharpen' as such, but rather align the edge for a smooth and clean cut. Strops can play an important part in the actual honing process, as they will remove burrs off freshly honed knives, a very important step for any sharpened instrument. They can also be use for honing and improved blade retention when used with abrasive pastes, sprays or other compounds.

So great I bought two.

I originally bought the PVB|Leather Strop-Beech.I found it to be so exelent that I needed another one as you don't find Strops where I reside.I then started surfing BPM Toolcraft website.I found a fair amount of tools that I also cannot find locally or have to go to great lengths to aquire.So I went on a very small shopping spree as it actually worked me out cheaper and a lot less frustration.But coming back to the leather Strops they work like a charm.BPM Toolcraft is definitely a go to hardware shop with a very extensive range.The Staff is very helpful and have a great sense of humor.My thanks goes to Cindy who handled my order and kept me in the loop.Great place,Great people.
