Sash Clamps

Sash clamps are long bar clamps used for door and window frames, table tops and large glue‑ups.  Their long reach and strong pressure keep joints tight while the glue cures.

What are sash clamps mainly used for?
Sash clamps are long, heavy-duty clamps designed for edge-gluing large panels, doors, or tabletops. Their length and strength make them perfect for woodworking projects where wide surfaces need to be joined.

How do sash clamps differ from bar or pipe clamps?
Sash clamps typically have a stronger, more rigid steel or aluminium bar, which reduces flexing on large glue-ups. Unlike pipe clamps, they don’t rely on interchangeable pipes but instead provide a fixed, sturdy clamping length.

How do I avoid bowing or uneven pressure with sash clamps?
Distribute clamps evenly above and below the workpiece, apply pressure gradually, and use protective pads or scrap wood to spread the load. Alternating clamp positions helps keep panels flat during glue-ups.
