Air Sanders

Pneumatic sanders run cooler and lighter than electric models.  They include palm sanders, dual‑action (DA) sanders and straight‑line sanders for bodywork and woodworking.  Continuous air supply means they won’t bog down during prolonged use.

Air sanders are used for smoothing, shaping, and finishing surfaces in woodworking, automotive, and metalworking. They excel in continuous or heavy-duty tasks where electric sanders might overheat.

What types of air sanders are available?
Common types include orbital sanders (for general smoothing), random-orbit sanders (for swirl-free finishing), belt sanders (for fast stock removal), and disc sanders (for aggressive shaping or metal work).

What do I need to run an air sander effectively?
A compressor with sufficient airflow (CFM) and pressure (PSI), clean and dry air supply (with filters/regulators), and the correct abrasive pads or belts. Regular lubrication with air tool oil will also keep the sander performing smoothly.
