Lawnmowers

Lawnmowers keep lawns neat and healthy.  Petrol mowers provide power and independence from cords, while electric and cordless mowers offer quiet operation and minimal maintenance.  Choose between rotary mowers for general cutting and cylinder mowers for fine finishes.

What types of lawnmowers are available?

  • Electric (corded) – lightweight and easy to use for small to medium lawns with nearby power.

  • Battery (cordless) – portable and quieter, ideal for medium lawns without the hassle of cords.

  • Petrol – powerful and suited for large lawns or tougher grass.

  • Manual reel mowers – eco-friendly and best for small, flat lawns.

How often should I service or maintain my lawnmower?
Clean the underside after every use, check and sharpen blades regularly, and for petrol models, change oil and spark plugs as recommended. Battery models should be stored with batteries charged and kept in a cool, dry place.

What’s the best way to get a clean, even cut?
Keep blades sharp, mow when the grass is dry, and adjust the cutting height according to the season (higher in summer to protect roots, lower in spring and autumn for a tidy finish). Overlap slightly on each pass to avoid uneven patches.
