Fibre discs mount on angle grinders for aggressive grinding and stock removal on metal and masonry.  Resin‑bonded abrasive grains cut fast and resist heat.

What are fibre discs commonly used for?
Fibre discs are heavy-duty abrasive discs typically used with angle grinders for grinding, deburring, blending welds, and removing rust or paint from metal surfaces.

How do I choose the correct fibre disc for my job?
The choice depends on the material and finish required. Aluminium oxide discs are good for general-purpose metal grinding, zirconia discs handle tougher steels with a longer lifespan, and ceramic discs excel in high-pressure industrial applications.

What’s the best way to mount and use a fibre disc safely?
Always use the correct backing pad for your grinder, ensure the disc is centred, and operate at the recommended speed. Wear proper eye and hand protection, and avoid side-loading or forcing the disc to extend its life.
