Wood Fillers

Wood fillers fill holes, cracks and imperfections in timber.  Ready‑mixed fillers are sandable and stainable, while two‑part fillers cure hard for structural repairs.

What are wood fillers used for?
Wood fillers are used to repair cracks, holes, knots, and surface imperfections in timber before painting, staining, or finishing. They help create a smooth, uniform surface.

Can wood fillers be stained or painted over?
Yes — most wood fillers can be sanded, stained, or painted once dry. For a natural finish, choose a filler that matches the wood species or is specifically designed to accept stains.

What’s the difference between solvent-based and water-based wood fillers?

  • Water-based fillers dry quickly, are easy to clean, and have low odour, making them great for indoor use.

  • Solvent-based fillers are tougher, more durable, and resistant to shrinkage, making them better for larger repairs or exterior projects.
