Riveters

Manual riveters and rivet nut tools install blind rivets and threaded inserts.  They join sheet metal, gutters and assemblies where access is only possible from one side.  Choose lever‑action riveters for larger rivets and compact hand riveters for lighter work.

What types of riveters are available and how do they differ?
Common types include hand riveters for light-duty tasks, lazy-tong riveters for added leverage, and pneumatic or battery-powered riveters for high-volume work. The choice depends on the rivet size, material, and workload.

How can I ensure a strong and secure rivet connection?
Select the correct rivet size and material for the job, make sure the holes are properly aligned, and apply steady pressure until the mandrel snaps cleanly. Using the right nosepiece for your rivet size also helps ensure a tight fit.

What maintenance does a riveter need?
Keep moving parts lightly oiled, check for worn jaws or nosepieces, and clean out any metal shavings after use. Store in a dry location to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
