Product Description

Paring chisels are used primarily for carefully shaving off thin amounts of wood when fitting joints.

  • Paring chisel blade is made from highly alloyed Cr-Mn steel and heat treated up to 59 HRc
  • Ergonomic handle is made of hornbeam wood and is equipped with brass ferrule 
  • The long length gives maximum control
  • These tools are always pushed by hand, they are never malleted or struck

Narex - Great Value, easy to use

For all you Bench work enthusiasts and hybrid woodworkers out there (and this includes Brian T.)
These paring chisels from Narex in the Czech Republic are excellent. I have had mine just on a year now and the do exactly what I want them to. Long blades, 20 degree bevel, well shaped handle and really nice weight & balance, they will last the rest of you woodworking life and become firm friends in your chisel till. There are five sizes in the line-up, Brian has only brought in three of them, (really B!) but I am sure he will add the other two sizes if you want them.
Metric widths are: 32mm, 25mm, 19mm, 12.7mm and 6mm. These are sweet, value for money, well made products that I fully endorse.
