The 40V max XGT® 4.0Ah Battery (BL4040) is designed for professional applications that require high power and endurance. It features advanced digital communication to exchange tool and battery data, allowing for higher energy extraction than the 18V LXT series. Built to withstand harsh job site conditions, it includes a shock-absorbing liner and rigid rails to ensure it stays locked to the tool during high-demand tasks. The battery reaches a full charge in just 45 minutes, spending more time working and less time on the charger.

  • Full charge in 45 minutes or less (DC40RA)
  • Digital communication between tool and battery for higher energy extraction
  • Thermal management cooling system for maximum life
  • 4-LED green fuel gauge for visibility
  • Shock-absorbing inner liner and impact-resistant case
  • Screw construction allows for easy disassembly for recycling
