The GLM 50-22 Professional withstands rough conditions on construction sites. Its IP65 design provides complete protection from dust particles and jets of water, while its shock-absorbing housing brings 1.5m drop resistance even on hard concrete. With a customisable button, favourite measurement functions or settings can be defined. Its intuitive user interface supports 30 languages and consists of a colour display and Big Numbers Mode for better readability. For self-explaining usage it features a new help function that shows all measurement options.

I’ve been using the Bosch Professional GLM 50-22 for my day-to-day site measurements, and it has exceeded expectations.
The accuracy is spot-on, even over longer distances, which is critical when setting out or checking dimensions on structural and building projects. The readings are fast and consistent, and the backlit colour display makes it easy to read measurements in both bright sunlight and low-light conditions.
What really stands out is the durability. The rubberised housing feels solid, and it’s clearly designed for tough site environments. The device sits comfortably in hand, and the button layout is intuitive, making it quick to switch between functions like area, volume, and indirect height measurements.
Battery life is impressive, and the device powers up quickly, saving time on site. The memory function is also very useful when recording multiple measurements during inspections or quantity checks.
Overall, the GLM 50-22 is a reliable, accurate, and robust measuring tool that I would highly recommend to any contractor, engineer, or construction professional looking for precision and durability.
The only disadvantage is the red measuring dot that is a bit hard to see on a very sunny day
