Wood Turning Projects

This collection includes kits and blanks for turning pens, bottle stoppers, pepper mills and ornamental projects.  Kits provide the necessary hardware, while wood blanks in exotic species inspire creativity.

What do woodturning kits include?
Kits usually provide all the necessary hardware — such as pen mechanisms, stoppers, or mill fittings — leaving you free to customise the design and shape with your choice of blank.

What types of blanks are available for these projects?
Blanks come in a wide variety of materials, from exotic hardwoods with unique grain patterns to colourful resin hybrids. These blanks allow you to create one-of-a-kind pens, bottle stoppers, pepper mills, or decorative ornaments.

Do I need special tools to work with kits and blanks?
For most kits, you’ll need basic woodturning tools like gouges and chisels, along with specific accessories such as bushings, mandrels, or drill bits that match the kit. A good finish — oils, waxes, or polishes — is also key to bringing out the beauty of the blank.
