Wooden Handscrew Clamps

Wooden handscrew clamps have two wooden jaws connected by threaded rods.  The jaws can be angled to clamp tapered workpieces or hold irregular shapes.  Wooden jaws won’t damage delicate surfaces.

What are wooden handscrew clamps best used for?
They’re excellent for holding irregularly shaped workpieces, applying angled pressure, or securing delicate materials without leaving deep marks. Their large wooden jaws spread pressure evenly across the surface.

How are handscrew clamps different from other clamps?
Unlike fixed-jaw clamps, handscrew clamps have adjustable wooden jaws that can be set at different angles. This makes them versatile for holding tapered, uneven, or oddly shaped objects that standard clamps struggle with.

How do I take care of wooden handscrew clamps?
Keep the wooden jaws clean and free of glue buildup, occasionally apply a light wax or oil to prevent drying or splitting, and ensure the screw threads turn smoothly. Avoid exposing them to excessive moisture to maintain accuracy and strength.
