  • The blade and chip breaker are held in place by compression and are adjusted with a small Japanese hammer or very light wooden mallet
  • The blade is made from blue paper steel laminated onto forged iron
  • The plane's body is made of Japanese White Oak
  • In general, Traditional Japanese Planes require maintenance to the sole
  • This plane has been relieved behind the blade and is ready to use
