Spade Bits

They’re best suited for applications where speed matters more than precision, especially in construction.

How do I use spade bits effectively and safely?
Use spade bits with a high-torque drill at moderate speed to avoid kickback. For cleaner holes:

• Drill partially from both sides to minimize tear-out

• Use extensions for deep or hard-to-reach holes

• Keep firm control of the drill, especially with larger diameters (16–32 mm+)
  Choose hex shank bits for better grip in cordless and impact drills, especially when drilling overhead or through thick timber.
