Screwdrivers, Bits & Bit Sets

A good screwdriver set is a workshop essential.  Slotted, Phillips, Pozidriv, Torx and square drivers tackle a variety of fasteners.  Magnetic tips retain screws, and ergonomic handles reduce strain.  Bit sets with quick‑change holders fit drills and impact drivers for speedy fastening.

How do I choose the right screwdriver or bit for a screw?
Match the tip type and size exactly to the screw head — for example, Phillips, flat, Torx, or hex. Using the wrong size or type can strip the screw head or damage the tool.

Why are some screwdriver bits magnetic?
Magnetic bits help hold screws in place during installation, especially in tight or awkward spaces. They improve control and reduce the risk of dropping screws during assembly.

How can I extend the life of my screwdriver bits?
Avoid over-torquing, keep bits clean and dry, and store them in their case to prevent damage. For heavy-duty work, use high-quality, impact-rated bits with an impact driver to resist wear and breakage.
