What makes SawStop table saws unique?

SawStop is globally recognized for its patented safety system that stops the blade within 5 milliseconds of detecting skin contact — dramatically reducing the risk of severe injury. The blade drops below the table instantly and is replaced by a new brake cartridge and blade, typically in under 5 minutes.

Is the SawStop safety system reliable and does it affect performance?

Yes, it’s highly reliable and does not compromise cutting performance. The system runs continuous diagnostics to ensure proper functionality, and the saws themselves are engineered with professional-grade precision, power, and dust collection, making them ideal for both safety and quality of cut.

Can I use any blade with a SawStop saw?

SawStop saws work with standard 10" blades (8" for dado sets), but to ensure the safety system functions properly, the blade must be conductive and compatible with the brake cartridge. Non-conductive blades, such as those with painted or coated teeth, may prevent the system from activating correctly.
