Sanding sponges combine abrasive material with a foam core.  They conform to curves and edges, making them ideal for finishing profiles and mouldings.

What are sanding pads and sponges used for?
Sanding pads and sponges are flexible abrasives designed to conform to curved, contoured, or uneven surfaces. They’re excellent for smoothing furniture edges, mouldings, and other areas that flat sandpaper struggles to reach.

Are sanding sponges reusable?
Yes. Unlike standard sandpaper, sanding sponges can often be rinsed with water to remove dust and debris, which restores their cutting ability. They can be reused several times until the abrasive wears out.

When should I choose a sanding pad or sponge instead of sandpaper?
Use them when working on rounded or detailed shapes, or when you need more control with hand-sanding. They also reduce the risk of gouging compared to stiff sandpaper sheets.
