Orbital Sanding Sheets

Rectangular sanding sheets attach to orbital sanders for fine finish sanding.  Available in a range of grits, they remove light scratches and prepare surfaces for finishing.

What are orbital sanding sheets used for?
They are designed for use with orbital or palm sanders, ideal for smoothing wood, preparing surfaces for paint, or finishing between coats. They’re also used on plastics and some metals with the correct grit.

How do I select the right sanding sheet for my orbital sander?
Check the attachment type — most orbital sheets use hook-and-loop (Velcro) or adhesive backing, and some are precut to match specific sander pad shapes. Always match the hole pattern on the sheet to your sander for proper dust extraction.

Why do sanding sheets wear out quickly, and how can I extend their life?
Pressing too hard or sanding at an angle can cause premature wear. Let the sander’s motion do the work, keep the surface clean of dust buildup, and switch to a coarser grit if too much material needs removal.
