Multi-Tool Blades

Oscillating multi tool blades include flush cut blades for wood and metal, semicircular blades for plunge cuts and scrapers for removing adhesives.  Carbide and bi metal options extend blade life when cutting nails and screws.

What can multi tool blades be used for?
Multi tool blades are designed for cutting, scraping, sanding, and grinding across a wide range of materials. Common uses include:

  • Wood and drywall trimming

  • Flush cutting door frames or pipes

  • Removing grout or adhesives

  • Cutting nails, screws, plastics, or metal sheeting
    The versatility of oscillating tools makes them ideal for renovation, plumbing, flooring, and general repairs.

How do I choose the right blade for my task?
Consider:

  • Material –

    • Bi-metal or carbide blades for nails, screws, and metal

    • High carbon steel (HCS) for wood and soft plastics

    • Diamond or carbide grit blades for grout and tile

  • Blade shape –

    • Segment blades for long, straight cuts

    • Plunge blades for deep or precision work

    • Scraper blades for adhesive or caulk removal
      Also check for blade width, tooth pattern, and intended application (e.g. fine vs fast cut).

Are multi tool blades interchangeable between brands?
Many blades feature a universal fit design that works with most multi tools, including Fein, Bosch, Makita, Ryobi, and others. However, some tools use proprietary mounts or require an adapter. Always check your tool’s compatibility before purchasing. Look for “universal fit, Starlock, or OIS” labelling for the best fit.
