What types of abrasive products does Klingspor offer, and what industries do they serve?

Klingspor provides an extensive range of over 50,000 abrasive products, including coated abrasives (like sanding belts, discs, rolls, and quick-change discs), fibre and flap wheels, grinding and cutting discs (Kronenflex®), diamond tools, and flexible abrasives for polishing and finishing. These tools serve industries such as woodworking, metalworking, automotive, aerospace, and marine applications.

What quality and safety credentials define Klingspor?

Founded in 1893 in Germany and still family-rooted, Klingspor operates globally with 36 production and distribution sites. They're a founding member of oSa (Organisation for the Safety of Abrasives) and produce to DIN‑ISO 9001 standards, prioritizing both product quality and user safety.

How should Klingspor abrasives be stored and maintained for best performance?

To maintain adhesive integrity and prevent damage:

  • Use products within 12 months of purchase, ideally within 6–8 months.

  • Store them in a temperature- and humidity-controlled space (approx. 18–22 °C and 40–50% RH), away from direct heat or damp surfaces.

  • Pre-condition wide belts by hanging for up to 24 hours before use.

  • Never exceed rated maximum speeds and always inspect machines before use.
