In 1776, when America was still a British Colony and Thomas Chippendale Senior was still accepting commissions for his exquisite furniture, another Yorkshire born Thomas - Thomas Sanderson of Attercliffe near Sheffield, set about making the first ever Pax handsaw.
 

The Pax 8″ Dovetail Saw is a fine saw for your dovetail work and has the same style high quality mirror polished brass back as the Tenon Saw – the perfect partner to work with. The handle is made from the finest steamed beech with a two-tone gloss finish. Hand set and sharpened in the traditional way to give you the best possible dovetail joints. 20tpi as standard. Packed in a cardboard fold up box – can be recycled. Blade depth is 2 1/4″.
