Cordless Impact Drivers & Wrenches

Impact drivers deliver high torque and rapid blows to drive long screws, lag bolts and coach screws with ease.  Cordless impact wrenches provide the muscle for loosening wheel nuts and large fasteners.  Brushless motors, adjustable torque settings and compact designs make these tools indispensable for construction and mechanical work.

What’s the difference between an impact driver and an impact wrench?

  • Impact Drivers use a ¼″ hex chuck and are ideal for driving screws, bolts, and lag screws—especially in woodworking, framing, and decking.

  • Impact Wrenches use a ½″ or ⅜″ square drive and are built for high-torque applications like loosening lug nuts, working on machinery, or automotive repairs.
    Both use concussive rotational force but are optimized for different fastening tasks.

Do I need a brushless motor in my impact tool?

Yes, if you're looking for longer runtime, more power, and reduced maintenance. Brushless motors are more efficient and generate less heat, making them ideal for both heavy-duty professional use and long-term reliability in cordless impact drivers and wrenches.

How do I choose the right cordless impact tool for my needs?

Consider the following:

  • Torque output: Drivers offer ~150–250 Nm, while wrenches can go up to 1000+ Nm for heavy bolts.

  • Speed & modes: Look for variable speed triggers, gear settings, and impact modes for control.

  • Battery platform: Stick with your existing 18V or 36V system to maximize tool compatibility.

  • Application: Use impact drivers for precision screwdriving, and wrenches for large fasteners and nuts.
