Corded Circular Saws

Circular saws make straight crosscuts and rip cuts in wood, plastic and metal.  They offer adjustable cutting depth and bevel angles for mitre cuts.  Powerful motors and quality blades ensure smooth, accurate cuts.

What is a circular saw used for?
A circular saw is used for straight, fast cuts through wood, plywood, MDF, plastic, and with the right blade, aluminum or steel. It’s ideal for rip cuts, cross cuts, bevels, and plunge cuts in construction, carpentry, and DIY projects. It’s a go-to tool for framing, roofing, decking, and sheet cutting.

Why choose a corded circular saw instead of a cordless one?
Corded circular saws offer consistent power and runtime, making them ideal for heavy-duty, high-volume cutting tasks without worrying about battery life. They’re often more powerful, have higher RPMs, and are preferred in workshops and on construction sites with power access.

What features should I look for in a corded circular saw?
Look for:

  • Blade size (typically 184 mm for general use) and cutting depth

  • Motor power (1200–2000W for wood and dense materials)

  • Bevel capacity and easy adjustment levers for angled cuts

  • Spindle lock for quick blade changes

  • Dust blower or extraction port for clear cutting lines

  • Rugged base plate (aluminum or magnesium) for durability and precision
