Almost thirty years ago, Arbortech was established in Nannup, a small country town in Australia's south west, where Kevin Inkster's passion for woodworking and inventing merged.
After much experimentation, Kevin made the first prototype "WoodCarver Blade" in 1983. It worked so well and was so much fun to use, that he decided to carve an entire chair from a large tree trunk! This blade later went on to become the first commercially available product and it launched the Arbortech company.
