Air Filters, Gauges, Regulators & Accessories

Air filters remove moisture and contaminants from compressed air.  Regulators control pressure, and gauges display system pressure.  Proper air preparation extends tool life and ensures consistent performance.

Why are filters, gauges, and regulators important in an air system?
They keep compressed air clean, dry, and at the correct pressure. Filters remove dust, water, and oil; regulators control and maintain steady pressure for tools; and gauges allow you to monitor system performance at a glance.

Do I need all three components in my setup?
For most workshops, yes. A basic FRL unit (Filter–Regulator–Lubricator) ensures your air tools run efficiently, last longer, and produce consistent results. Even without a lubricator, filters and regulators are essential for clean, safe air delivery.

How often should I maintain or replace these accessories?
Check filters regularly and drain any accumulated water or oil. Replace filter elements as needed, usually every 6–12 months depending on use. Regulators and gauges should be inspected for accuracy and leaks, and replaced if they fail to hold a steady setting.
