R 2,799.00
Veritas has become a leader in product development, more than meeting the needs of discerning woodworkers. The Veritas team combine talent with modern manufacturing to make each Veritas product your lifelong companion.
- Veritas has merged modern materials and traditional design to create this well balanced, excellent cutting carcass saw
- As you can tell from the name, carcass saws are used to cut furniture carcass pieces and elements of the framework such as joints in drawer runners, dividers, and stretchers
- Not quite as beefy as a tenon saw, the Veritas Carcass Saw is scaled for smaller work than a tenon saw, yet maneuverable enough to cut dovetails
- The 11” (280mm) high-carbon steel blade has crosscut configured teeth @ 14 tpi, with a rake angle of 15° (included angle of 60°)
- The blade's spine is made from high-pressure injected molded resin, with stainless steel powder & glass fibre, resulting in a strong and stiff backer that keeps the blade straight & true
- Patterned from antique saws with elegantly curved handles, the saw's solid Bubinga (African Rosewood) handle nestles into your hand to give you exceptional cutting control
- Depth of cut is 2-3/8”(60mm)
- Overall length is 16-3/8” (416mm)
